Another Pinterest Inspired Creation for Dreamweaver

This month, the Dreamweaver Challenge is to create something that was inspired by one of my favorite pastimes, Pinterest.  The project that I chose to create this month was inspired by the pin HERE.  It is a picture of the ocean superimposed with the saying "The voice of the sea speaks to the soul."  I chose to use not only the creation, but the same color scheme.  I also gave a nod to all of those canvases out there.  Here it is:
I used three Dreamweaver stencils on this one.  I used LJ896 Large Flourish with a large stencil brush and some white acrylic paint directly on the background.  The sandcastle was created with Mudd Puddles on Stencil LL3033 Sand Castle.  The sand crept under the stencil, but I just cleaned out the lines the best I could and allowed it to be a silhouette.  I used Embossing Paste with Stencil LL329 to create the beach chair.  The shiny pebbles were Sea Glass from Mudd Puddles.  The background paper is Sea Glass from K and Company.
I hope you enjoyed my little canvas project.  Be sure to check out the rest of the Pinterest Inspired projects this week and get inspired.  Then, enter the fun yourself by making a project and sending it to Lynell@Dreamweaverstencils.com.  You could be featured on the Dream It Up! blog--or even win a great prize.  Thanks for stopping by!

  5. Beautiful!! Makes me want to be at the beach right this very minute!! Love the blue crystals! I actually found some blue crystals at the beach last year...well, they were glass pebbles like you'd use in a vase. There was a beach wedding and they lined the 'walkway' on the beach with these... I saw the guys laying them all out and I remember telling my husband the tide would get them before the wedding actually took place cause I asked them what time the wedding was taking place. Sure enough the tide got most before the ceremony. And for the next week I kept finding them on the beach up to a mile away. :)
