Another Stampendous and Sizzix Collaboration

Welcome to another day on our hop with Eileen Hull’s team using her Vintage Canister Scoreboard die with our Cottage Home and Mushroom Home sets as we take a stroll Along the Garden Path. Sit back and enjoy projects from the designers participating in today’s hop.

CSD05 Mushroom Home Perfectly Clear Stamps and Dies Set
CSD06 Cottage Home Perfectly Clear Stamps and Dies Set
Sizzix ScoreBoards XL Die Square
Mixed Media White Paper
Sizzix Little Sizzles 6x13" Mat Pack Cream
Perfectly Clear Acrylic Stamp Handle
Stencil Brush
Stazon Jet Black
DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics in Payne's Gray
24 Pack Crayola Crayons

Directions:

1)  Cut the pieces for the large box from the cream mat board.
2)  Assemble the large box.
3)  Cut the mushroom roof and the cottage bottom from the mixed media paper.
4)  Stamp the images you choose. I used stamps from both sets.  Don't forget the box!
5)  Color image with the crayons.  Color hard on all the stamped images, but lighter on the background.

6)  Water down a little of the paint to create a wash.
7)  Paint wash over the entire piece and wipe gently with paper towel to remove.  Let dry.
8)  Paint the back of the house pieces with two different concentrations of the gray paint.  Let dry.
9)  Glue the roof to the house and the house to the box.

 Materials:

Mixed Media White Paper
Sizzix Little Sizzles 6x13" Mat Pack Cream
Perfectly Clear Acrylic Stamp Handle

DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics in Titan Buff and Quinacridone Gold
24 Pack Crayola Crayons
Paint Brush

Directions:

1)  Cut the pieces for the large canister from the cream mat board.
2)  Assemble the large canister.
3)  Cut 4 of the roof image from the white mixed media paper.
4)  Paint the canister a mix of the acrylics, but primarily the Titan Buff.  Let dry.
5)  Paint the lid and cut out roofs on both sides with the Quinacridone Gold and let dry.
6)  Place the stencil over the dry walls.
7)  Load the stencil brush with the Quinacridone Gold and brush off the excess on the paper towel.
8)  Rub the loaded stencil brush over the stencil in the areas that you want the swirls.  Let dry.
9)  Stamp the grass thatching stamp on the outsides of the roof.
10)  Stamp the additional stamps where you want them.

11)  Color with crayons.
12)  Attach the roof pieces to the lid and to each other.

These cute canisters can hold all sorts of things.  I chose seed packets.

Directions:
1) Stamp the images with Memento on the Mixed Media Paper.  Stamp the face an extra time on the copy paper.
2)  Use the die cut machine and the Fitted Frames dies to cut out the text and the frame.
3)  Color the face image on the Mixed Media Paper with the Prismacolor Pencils.
4)  Cut out the face image that is on the copy paper.
5)  Adhere the cut out image over the top of the colored one with the repositionable adhesive.
6)  Place the quatrefoil stencil over the top of the image and hold down.
7)  Load the stencil brush with the Brilliance Ink and rub a little off on a piece of paper towel.
8)  Rub the stencil brush over the top of the image, making gentle circles to color in the image.
9)  Remove the stencil and the copy paper mask.
10)  Assemble the card.

Manual Die Cut Machine

Directions

1)  Cut a large frame frame out of Mixed Media Paper using the die cut machine.

2)  Run the cut card stock through the machine with the Diamond Grid stencil and the Stamping Details Rubber Embossing Mat.  This will create the textured background.

3)  Put small pieces of the Xtreme Putty under the corners of the background stencil of the Heart Duo Stencil Set. Adhere it gently to  pink card stock.  

4)  Trace the stencil image using the enclosed pen.

5)  Gently remove the pink card stock from the stencil.

6)  Put small pieces of the Xtreme Putty under the corners of the heart shaped stencil and carefully place on the traced image, centering the sections that you would like to see.

7)  Trace the heart shape using the pen.  Carefully remove the stencil.

8)  Color the traced images with the Dual Markers and accent with the white colored pencil.

9)  Use the Glue Pen to highlight areas of the image and cover them with glitter.

10)  Center the heart stencil over the background and trace.

11)  Cut out the heart shapes from the background and the patterned image.

12)  Color a small piece of Mixed Media Paper with the colored pencils.  This will be behind the secret panel.

13)  Place the clear stamps on the clear acrylic handle, cover with the Stazon and stamp.

14)  Center the stamped image behind the open heart shape and adhere with Mono Adhesive.

15)  Tie the May Arts Ribbon around the bottom of the frame.

16)  Adhere the frame to dark pink card stock and that onto the folded white card included with the Duo Stencil Set using the Mono Adhesive.

17)  Cut down the Fastener Tabs to fit inside the heart shape.

18)  Remove the covering from the adhesive on the bottom of the tabs and place onto the secret message heart space.

19)  Remove the top covering from the adhesive tabs and place the colored heart over the top.You

You now have a Valentine's Card with a "secret message".

May Arts Ribbon and an Embossing Powder Tree Line

Tree Line Stencil  LG745

Double Sided Mounting Paper

Embossing Powder in Detail Capri, Clear Turquoise, LapisPearl, Tanzanite Pearl and Clear Lavender

May Arts Ribbon

Handmade Hawaiian Soap or Versamark Ink

My Colors Card Stock in Charcoal and Sky

Heat Tool

Directions:

1) The card base is 9” by 5 ¾” folded on top

2)  Either soap the back the Tree Line Stencil or cover it with Versamark.  You need to create a light film across the back that makes the stencil easy to remove from the adhesive on the mounting paper.

3)  Cut the mounting paper to match the sizes of the stencil.
4)  Remove one side of the coverings on the double sided mounting paper and place the stencil, soap or Versamark side down, on the paper.
5)  Pour the colored (non-silver) embossing powders over the stencil in strips and then blend the colors together with your finger.
9)  Place the project upside down on a flat surface and carefully peel the mounting paper off of the stencil.

10)  Use the heat tool to emboss the image.
11)  Cover the newly revealed sticky paper with Aged Silver Embossing Enamel and press down lightly with your finger.

12)  Pour the Sterling Silver Embossing Enamel in the areas that seem a little bare.

13)  Emboss with your heat tool.

14)  Assemble the card.  Remember that removing the backing from the Double Sided Mounting Adhesive makes it into a sticker.

My Colors Card Stock in Winter Lake, Sandy Beach, Coral Rose and Café Ole

Directions:

1)      The card base is 6 ½” by 11’ folded on the side.

2)      Tape the Cherry Blossom Stencil over the Winter Lake card stock.  Be sure to start taping with one full strip of tape adhering the top edge of the stencil.  It will act as a hinge.

3)      Use the palette knife to place Embossing Paste on the edge of the Paste Spreader.

4)      Place the paste spreader on the top edge of the stencil and pull towards you, leaving the spreader on the stencil, like a squeegee and depositing paste into all of the wells of the stencil.

5)      Replace unused paste into the container.

6)      Remove the stencil, pulling the tape from the bottom and the sides and tilting the stencil up, using the top piece as a hinge.  You will lastly remove that top piece with the stencil.

7)      Repeat steps 2-6 with the other two stencils, using the Nest Flourish Stencil upside down.  Let all the paste dry.

8)      Color the twigs and the nest with the brown markers.

9)      Use Versamark Pens to color over the pasted image in small sections, covering it with the color of embossing ink you wish to use and heating to create an enameled look.  Work on one color at a time.

10) Tape the Quatrefoil Stencil over the pink card stock.  Rub the stencil brush over the Versamark Ink Pad and rub a little off on a piece of paper towel.  Use circular motions with the brush to appy the clear ink over the stencil and onto the card stock.

11)  Remove the stencil.  Cover the card stock with the clear embossing powder and pour off the excess.

12 Heat the embossing powder with the heat tool.

13)  Cut the fancy frames out of the Mixed media Paper and the Café Ole card stock using the Fitted Frames A and B die sets and your manual die cut machine.

14)  Use the craft sheet, blending tool and Distress Ink to age the pieces.

15)  Assemble the card.
